Suncoast Building and Pest Inspections services Mt Coolum on the Sunshine Coast. Mount Coolum is just south of Coolum, north of Marcoola with a population over 4,000. Turn off the David Low Way 6km south of Coolum Beach Township or 3km north of Marcoola Township into Tanah Street West. The car park entrance is near the junction of Tanah Street West and Jarnahill Drive. Roads to the car park are suitable for all vehicles.

It is advised that walking the track in wet weather is not recommended. Individuals coming to the park should note that there is no wheelchair availability. The following features in the park include:

  1. Spectacular coastal views
  2. Rare and threatened plants
  3. Wildflowers
  4. Bird-life and geology.

The dome-shaped of the mount rises 208m above the sea level and is visible from many locations. Camping is not allowed in the national park except for private camping areas.

The distance to cover during walking is 1.6km, the time frame is about 2hrs.

Stay safe while walking on the mount, supervise children and avoid slippery spots.

The mount has a mild subtropical climate which is about 21 to 29°C summer and 10 to 21°C in winter.

  • Felix Parry Park public toilets—3.2km south of the walk entrance via David Low Way. Turn left onto Tamarindus Street, then left onto Marcoola Esplanade.

  • Sunscreen, sturdy shoes, a hat and a protective clothing
