This is a building report for the purchaser of a recently built home. The reason for this report is for a pre-completion inspection carried out before taking possession of the home and after all the building work has been finalised.

Before you sign off on the completion of your new home our qualified Inspector can examine the work to ensure that all is compliant, and the workmanship is acceptable with what you were quoted. Having a professional carry out this work offers you peace of mind. We have the experience to notice any issue that you may not be aware of. This issue may cause a problem down the track, if found before you sign off it can be sorted out by the seller.

We as an impartial association work for the purchaser of the home to find all the workmanship meets the industry standards. We can recognize any defects that require attention and work still to be finished off.

Our inspection consists of: –

  1. Assessment of the roof and underneath the house.
  2. The interior of each room including all fittings – windows, doors, electrical
  3. The exterior of the building including all fittings – windows, doors, electrical
  4. Plumbing, Painting etc

Once completed a report will be prepared with corresponding photographs of all that was inspected. A thorough description of all minor and major defects.

Acknowledgement between the purchaser and the contactor that these defects are acceptable and will be finalised within an expected time frame. Any non-structural or oversights found within the 12 months after finalisation of the home can be referred to the contractor. We advise all correspondence to be carried out in writing, signed, dated, and filed for your protection.
